How exposed is your job to AI?
When our founder Alex Morrison appeared on Channel 7's The Morning Show, the question the hosts kept coming back to was the one most Australians are quietly asking: how exposed is my job to AI? So we built a free tool to answer it, occupation by occupation.
From a national-TV question to a free national tool
The idea was sparked by similar work overseas, where researchers had begun mapping AI exposure across occupations. Alex saw the gap in the Australian market and set out to build something locally relevant, so working Australians could get a clear, data-driven answer for their own role rather than a headline.
“We wanted to release this tool to help inform employees and give them the options they can use to upskill themselves, so they can take advantage of the change that's coming,” Alex explained on the program.
What Future Work AU shows you
Each occupation gets a score from 1 to 10 reflecting how exposed it is to AI automation or augmentation. The scoring draws on data from Jobs and Skills Australia, the Australian Bureau of Statistics and SEEK job listings, combined with a consensus of four leading AI models: Claude, GPT, Gemini and Grok. You can look up your own role and see practical ways to adapt and upskill.
